Do I need to file form 8621?

Good news! The LLCs have satisfied the form 8621 reporting requirements with their own partnership tax returns and therefore you, as an indirect owner of the PFICs, do not need to file Form 8621. 

Note: The LLCs have made a valid QEF Election for each of its PFICs, which under current tax law, is sufficient at the partner level. Therefore you do not need to file form 8621.
