# How to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
## Two-factor authentication (2FA) enhances the security of your Masterworks account. Here's how to set it up:
1\. Select your **[account settings](https://www.masterworks.com/account/profile)** by clicking on your initials located in the top right corner of the screen
2\. On the left hand side, click "**Security Settings**"
3\. Scroll down to the "**2-Factor authentication**" section and click "**Add 2FA Method**"

**Supported 2FA methods:**
**1. SMS 2FA:** A unique security code will be sent to your phone through a text message. You will then enter this code into the website or app
**2.** **Authenticator app:** Install one of the following apps on your phone
