Why did I get a Form 1099?

You received a 1099 if you have a Masterworks Trading Wallet and sold shares on the secondary market or received interest on cash balances. 

Additionally, if you received a payout because an Artwork was sold, and received funds into your Masterworks Trading Wallet, then you will also receive a 1099. See I received a K-1 and a 1099 for the same payout on my investment.
